My first visit and I was pretty impressed. Their meat selection was fabulous quality for great pricing. All in all I found a lot of good deals and the off brands seem to be great so far. Was a little shocked by the quarter to get a basket, though I get it and think it's smart, and didn't know you had to pay for bags, little surprises I would have wanted to know on my first visit. But honestly, most of the pricing was terrific. $.75 eggs, nuts were $1 less than anywhere else. Name brands run more than at other stores, so maybe pick up coke when you grab the pet food at your usually store. They were missing a few staples I use so I still had to run to another store, but I will definitely go back.

I love this Aldi but I do not buy fresh produce here. It has all been refrigerated and I have gotten home and had rotten onions and avocados. Also tomatoes are not supposed to be refrigerated. But everything else I get there I really like. I would rather drive across town and go to Sprouts for my produce.

My first experience with Aldi was in Innsbruck, Austria (name long forgotten) so when one was built near me imagine my surprise when it looked so familiar once I walked in the door - which sent me searching the internet. Prices on their house brands are generally less expensive, good assortment of fruits and vegetables. Lots of GLUTEN FREE items. Meats tend to be much less expensive although limited selections in practically every Department but that's okay by me. They also sell some other items at discounted prices. If you want a shopping cart you put a quarter into a slot in one one outside which is returned when you put the basket back in place. Occasionally a friendly Shopper will offer you their basket which you can then pass forward to someone else. Very fast check out and you bag it yourself. Bring your own or purchase inexpensive bags at checkout. Or you can grab an empty box if you see one and use that instead. Good idea to know your prices on things you regularly by elsewhere in order to comparison shop. Really like Aldi.
